  • Pick-up

    Our trip begins in the city of Manizales. If you're located elsewhere, you can request a transfer for an additional cost. The guide and driver will pick you up at 7 a.m. in a private vehicle that will take us to breakfast, a journey of approximately 40 minutes.


    Arrival at the mountain and start of the hike

    Lafter breakfast, we'll return to the vehicle for a 20-minute drive to the base of the mountain, where we'll have a briefing and prepare for the ascent.

    After receiving your guide's recommendations, you'll begin the 3-km ascent up the mountain, where you'll appreciate the páramo's characteristic flora and fauna, lagoons, and incredible views, with technical stops to rehydrate and acclimatize.


    Arrival at the summit 4.000 mbsl and return

    Upon reaching the summit, we'll have enough time to take photos and catch our breath before returning to the starting point, where our vehicle will be waiting to take us for a well-deserved lunch.


    Visit hot springs.

    After lunch, we'll hop back on the vehicle to one of the best spots in the region to soak in the hot springs from this volcanic area. Here, you can enjoy a relaxing two-hour soak in various natural pools.


    Return to the meeting point

    After our soak in the hot springs, we'll share our final thoughts about our tour and thank the guide. Our comfortable vehicle will be waiting to take us back to our meeting point.

  • How fit do I need to be?: To do this hike, you need to be in good physical condition.

    If you want to make the most of your trip, you should be able to walk distances of 6 km between climbs and descents in altitude.


    Briefing: All informational meetings are held virtually the day before your trip. The meetings last approximately 30 to 45 minutes. We'll check that you have everything you need, answer any questions you may have about the trek, and may also pay the remaining 50%.


    Where can I store my main luggage?: During the trip, you can safely store any equipment that you will not need for the tour at your hotel. Almost all hotels offer this service the tour at your hotel. Almost all hotels offer this service.


    Pick-up: All pickups are in Manizales. We recommend booking a hotel as centrally located as possible with a good location. If you're staying in an area far from Manizales, you'll be charged an additional fee. Our staff will confirm your pickup time with you the day before the tour.


    Bookings and Pre - payment: To book this adventure, you only have to choose the desired date. If there are places available you can reserve your place with a 50% of the total, the other 50% is normally paid one day before the start of the trek in the briefing meeting., if you want to do the private tour you can choose the date you want.


    Accepted payment methods: For the first payment and the final payment, we accept cash, credit and debit cards.


    Important!

    • Days before the trek, please pay attention to your diet, avoid alcohol or drugs, and avoid smoking.
    • Do not consume alcoholic beverages or hallucinogenic drugs before or during the trek.
    • Do not extract any plant or animal species from the ecosystem.
    • Please return all trash to the city.
