Pick-up
Our trip begins in the city of Pereira. We'll pick you up at 8:30 a.m. in a private vehicle that will take us to Yarumal, a trip that takes approximately 1 hour.
Arrival in Yarumal and start of the hike
After receiving the guide's recommendations, you will begin to descend the mountain where you will be able to appreciate the characteristic flora and fauna of this incredible reserve, with technical stops to hydrate and at the same time the guide will surprise you with his environmental interpretation of the reserve and the protagonists of this tour, the howler monkeys.
Arrival at the Barbas River and swim
At the end of the descent we will reach the Barbas River which has crystal clear water where we can enjoy a relaxing bath and eat snacks. To return to our starting point, we will take a different path, which will allow us to appreciate the mountain from another perspective.
Lunch and return to the meeting point
After enjoying the great attractions of this tour, we will take the vehicle again to visit a local restaurant and have a delicious lunch with an incredible view and return to our meeting point.
What physical condition do I need to be in?: To do this hike, you need to be in good physical condition. If you want to make the most of your trip, you should be able to walk distances of 5 km between climbs and descents.
Briefing: All briefings are held one day before the trip at your hotel. The meetings last approximately 30 to 45 minutes and we check that you have everything you need, we will answer your questions about the trek and you can additionally pay the remaining 50%.
Where can I store my main luggage?: During the trip, you can store your main luggage free of charge in our storage room. You can also safely store any equipment that you will not need for the tour at your hotel. Almost all hotels offer this service.
Pick-up: All pick-ups are done within the city of Pereira, but we recommend you book a hotel as central as possible and with a good location. If you are staying in an area far from the city center, you will have to pay an additional charge for the pick-up. Our staff will confirm the pick-up time with you one day before the tour.
Reservations and prepayment: To book this adventure you just have to choose the desired date and reserve with 50% of the total, the other 50% is usually paid one day before the start of the trek at the briefing. For the first and last payment, we accept cash, credit and debit cards.
