  • Day 1 - Getting to know the Andean forest

    The day begins at 7:00 a.m. in Pereira, where we'll take a 4x4 vehicle to La Florida to enjoy a country breakfast and appreciate the local crops. We'll then continue to El Cedral, the starting point of the trek, where the guide will provide a briefing before beginning the hike.


    The tour will take us through the Otún River canyon to the La Pastora refuge, with stops to hydrate and learn more about the local flora and fauna. We'll also visit La Danta Waterfall, one of the highest in the region. Upon arrival at the refuge, we'll settle in and enjoy lunch with mountain views.


    In the afternoon, you'll have free time to rest, enjoy the surroundings, or simply relax at the refuge. Later, we'll share a hearty dinner and close the day with a campfire, perfect for exchanging stories and admiring the starry sky.


    Day 2 - Visit to Los Chorros waterfalls

    We'll start the morning with breakfast at the refuge to recharge our batteries before packing our backpacks and checking out.

    Afterward, we'll receive instructions from the guide and head to Los Chorros, two crystal-clear waterfalls.


    After enjoying the scenery and taking photographs, we'll begin the return journey to Cedral, completing our journey. Upon arrival, our private transportation will be waiting to take us back to the meeting point.


    Before concluding, we'll share reflections on the experience, and the guide will offer a few words of farewell and gratitude, bringing our trip to a close.



  • What physical condition do I need to be in?

    To do this hike, you need to be in good physical condition. If you want to make the most of your trip, you should be able to walk distances of 5 km between climbs and descents.


    Briefing:

    All briefings are held one day before the trip at your hotel. The meetings last approximately 30 to 45 minutes and we check that you have everything you need, we will answer your questions about the trek and you can additionally pay the remaining 50%.


    Where can I store my main luggage?: 

    During the trip, you can store your main luggage free of charge in our storage room. You can also safely store any equipment that you will not need for the tour at your hotel. Almost all hotels offer this service.


    Pick-up: 

    All pick-ups are done within the city of Pereira, but we recommend you book a hotel as central as possible and with a good location. If you are staying in an area far from the city center, you will have to pay an additional charge for the pick-up. Our staff will confirm the pick-up time with you one day before the tour.


    Reservations and prepayment: 

    To book this adventure you just have to choose the desired date and reserve with 50% of the total, the other 50% is usually paid one day before the start of the trek at the briefing. For the first and last payment, we accept cash, credit and debit cards.

    • Days before the trek, please pay attention to your diet, avoid alcohol or drugs, and avoid smoking.
    • Do not consume alcoholic beverages or hallucinogenic drugs before or during the trek.
    • Do not extract any plant or animal species from the ecosystem.
    • Please return all trash to the city.
