  • Meeting Point and Departure
    Our journey begins in the city of Pereira. We will pick you up at 8:30 a.m. in a private vehicle that will take us to Yarumal on a trip of approximately 1 hour.


    Arrival in Yarumal and Start of the Hike
    After receiving the guide’s recommendations, you will begin descending the mountain, where you will be able to appreciate the characteristic flora and fauna of this incredible reserve. We will make technical stops for hydration, while the guide will surprise you with environmental interpretation about the reserve and the protagonists of this tour: the howler monkeys.


    Arrival at the Barbas River and Swimming
    At the end of the descent, we will arrive at the Barbas River, which has crystal-clear water, where we can enjoy a relaxing swim and snacks. To return to our starting point, we will take a different trail, allowing us to appreciate the mountain from another perspective.


    Lunch and Return to the Meeting Point
    After enjoying the main highlights of this tour, we will take the vehicle again to visit a local restaurant and enjoy a delicious lunch with an incredible view, and then return to our meeting point.

  • What physical condition do I need?
    To complete this hike, it is necessary to have good physical fitness. If you want to fully enjoy your trip, you must be able to walk distances of 5 km with ups and downs.


    Briefing meeting
    All briefing meetings take place one day before the trip virtually. The meetings last approximately 30 to 45 minutes, and we will check that you have everything you need, answer your questions about the trekking, and additionally you will be able to pay the remaining 50%.


    Where can I store my main luggage?
    During the trip, you can store your main luggage free of charge in our storage room. You can also safely store any equipment you will not need for the trek at your hotel. Almost all hotels offer this service.


    Pick-up
    All pick-ups take place within the city of Pereira. We recommend booking a hotel as centrally located as possible and with a good location. If you stay in an area far from the city center, you will need to pay an additional pick-up fee. Our staff will confirm the pick-up time one day before the tour.


    Reservations and advance payment
    To book this adventure, you only need to choose your desired date and reserve with 50% of the total price; the other 50% is usually paid one day before the trek starts during the briefing meeting.


    Accepted payment methods
    For the first and final payment, we accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards.


    Important!
    Days before the hike, pay attention to your diet; do not consume alcohol or drugs and do not smoke.
    Do not consume alcoholic beverages or hallucinogenic drugs before and during the trek.
    Do not extract any plant or animal species from the ecosystem.
    Bring all your trash back to the city.
